Yet Another Waxahachie Railroad Station

Now, this train station is the neatest of the three Waxahachie train stations I have put on this blog. It was built by the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railroad.

There is another station much like it in Corsicana, Texas. See it here.

The T&BV after a bankruptcy, became the Burlington-Rock Island Railroad. It was jointly owned by the Burlington and the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific. Later it was part of the Fort Worth and Denver. Today, it is part of the BNSF Railway.

This seems rather unique among the small Texas stations and quite striking in design. The Corsicana station seems to have had the same architect. The Denton station is right out of a 1930's movie.

I wonder if there are other stations along this line with the same architecture.

The Teague station seems unique in its own design. There appears to have been a nice diversity in the stations on the Texas and Brazos Valley Railroad. They reflect the unique character of the Texans who built the line and who rode it. Really enjoy these photos and the history.
